![]() This book, which is very close to being published, started as an idea in 2006, just as I was learning to be a coach, and was a member (Chapter Host) of ICF Gothenburg. The idea was that coaching benefits teachers and students. I sought to explore that idea by examining the ICF Core Skills from a teacher's point of view. I published the brief texts as pages on a website and invited my (tiny) network to read what I had written. About 20-25 people did so. In an effort to attract more people I recorded an audio course closely based on the texts. It had little effect on the number of visitors to the website. Later, I moved on to writing books. When I realised that my first book "A Coaching Approach to Education" was helping me to become known around the world, I wanted to write a second book based on the ICF website. I soon discovered that I had moved on, and was no longer 'new to coaching' as my audience would be. So I asked the Universe to "send me an experienced teacher / headteacher, who is new to coaching". And 3 days later, I received an e-mail from Andrea Robson. The rest, as they say, is history. Or it will soon will be. Stages of development and production
