Today’s lesson from a retired entrepreneur is recorded at Central Station in Gothenburg, and has the question “Which is the most important, time or money?”
When people are asked to do things, they will either tell you that they don’t have time or they don’t have the money for it. And which is most important depends a little on your age. When you’re young, you have lots of time but no money. I asked a large group of 15-year-olds, “What’s the most important thing to think about?”, we were talking about jobs and being something in the world, and when I asked them the most important thing to think about they said “Money”. I realised that they don’t have any. If you are someone who is retired or perhaps unwell, perhaps near the end of your life, you have earned and maybe saved money, but are counting the days. What’s important then, do you think? No amount of money will help you get your time back. Whichever seems most important, one thing is true. There is never enough. Comments are closed.
